Abstract

Malaria kills 1-2 million people annually including onemillion children and infects 300-500 million peopleworldwide. The disease is present in over 100 countries,threatening 40% o f the world population1. Malaria is oneof the leading causes of morbidity and mortality and isthe single largest killer in children aged under five inAfrica".
